Roast in Brown Gravy

Ohh I'm excited for this, I love to get more ideas on recipes. Here is one of our favorites.

Roast and Brown Gravy

2-3 lb pot roast
flour
oil
1 pkg brown gravy mix
1 pkg onion soup mix
1 cup water

Coat roast in flour and brown in oil. Place in slow cooker and cook on low for 7-8 hours. Cut and serve. Voila, gravy for some mashed potatoes is done too :) I add a little more water to the gravy but try it out and see what you like.

  2. Mmmm! I made this for Sunday Dinner yesterday. It was really easy, and really good. I didn't have a package of brown gravy or onion soup mix, but I did have a jar of the homemade onion soup mix. Check it out in the soup recipes. Instead of using a packet of brown gravy, I mixed 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and 2 teaspoons of beef bouillon powder. I mixed it with the 1 cup of water and the homemade onion soup mix then poured it on top of the roast.
